As a die hard Cyclone fan, I was becoming very nervous about what seemed to be an Iowa Hawkeye football team that was destined for greatness.  You might wonder, why do I care?

The answer is simple.  If Iowa were to have finished the season undefeated and played for a National Championship, as an Iowa State fan, I would not have ever lived long enough to live beyond that kind of tyranny.  Every conversation with a Hawk fan for the next 100 years would end with them saying “How many National Championships do YOU have?”

What a dreadful thought.

Just a reflex?!?!?!?

Posted in Family with tags on November 3, 2009 by Chris

Apparently baby’s will “smile” due to an innate “reflex” of survival.  They tend to perform this feat between 3 days until 2 months of age.  Go here for more info.

I will continue to believe that she actually smiled :)

Before leaving the hospital, Sydney and I watched the beginning of the Iowa State vs. Nebraska football game.  I don’t think she can see much, but she did stare at the screen!

Iowa State went on to beat Nebraska in Lincoln for the first time in my life.
